Two-Day Workshop on Financial Literacy and Derivative Markets
The School of Commerce & Management, D. Y. Patil International University, successfully organised a Two-Day Workshop on Financial Literacy and Derivative Markets on 18th and 19th August 2026.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rohit Warman, who shared valuable insights on various aspects of financial literacy, including financial planning, budgeting, savings, investment awareness, and informed financial decision-making. The sessions also introduced students to the fundamentals of commodity and derivative markets, enabling them to develop an understanding of the role and relevance of these financial instruments within the broader financial ecosystem.
The workshop provided an engaging platform for students to connect theoretical financial concepts with their practical and real-world applications. Through the sessions, participants gained greater financial awareness and developed a deeper understanding of market-linked financial instruments and their significance in contemporary financial markets.
Through such experiential and industry-oriented learning initiatives, the School of Commerce & Management continues to strengthen students' practical knowledge and equip them with the skills, awareness, and confidence required to navigate the evolving financial landscape and emerge as future-ready professionals.
