At the outset, I, Jasmita Kaur, Dean – Placements, extend a warm welcome to all of you to D. Y. Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, Pune.
The Corporate Relations and Placement Cell serves as a central hub for students across the Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Complex, Akurdi. Our mission is to guide and support students in shaping successful careers in today’s competitive and globalized world.
We place a strong emphasis on foundational skills, and students are trained in communication and language proficiency through our state-of-the-art language laboratories. Additionally, to prepare them for campus recruitment process, we offer comprehensive training focused on communication skills, aptitude tests, and holistic development for both personal and professional growth.
Our Placement Cell is equipped with excellent infrastructure to support all phases of the recruitment process—including pre-placement talks, online/written aptitude tests, group discussions, and personal interviews. Backed by a committed team of Placement Officers, we work tirelessly to maximize placement opportunities by building and maintaining strong industry connections.
It is heartening to note that our students consistently perform well in campus recruitment processes, securing positions with some of the world’s most prestigious companies. Many have also gone on to pursue higher education at esteemed universities abroad. A defining feature of our academic framework is the extensive industry exposure we provide, which helps students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
Furthermore, the Cell regularly organizes guest lectures and expert talks to educate students on diverse career opportunities in sectors such as the public domain, armed forces, and various government services.

Welcome to D. Y. Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, Pune.
The mission of the Industrial Relations & Placements group is to facilitate collaboration between DYPIU and industry representing the fields of study in the university. This collaboration is aimed not only at identifying opportunities for students for a career in industry and preparing them towards it, but also in facilitating research and innovation.
To achieve its objectives, the group adopts a multipronged approach. Concrete team work among members of the corporate relations personnel in the DYP Educational Complex, constant interaction with the directors and faculty members of various schools of DYPIU, regular networking with industry leaders, and upskilling of students for industry readiness are part of this strategy.
We can proudly state that the above strategy has resulted in our students demonstrating constant year on year improvement in their performance and outcome during campus recruitment drives by companies.
While our current efforts are focussed on further improving these student outcomes, we are also sincerely working towards bringing in research collaboration with industry aimed at technological innovation.
In summary, the mission of the Industry relations and Placement group of DYPIU is very much aligned to the new Education Policy of the Government that lays utmost emphasis on bridging the gap that exists between academia and industry in the country.
