As part of its commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible campus practices, Dr. D. Y. Patil International University (DYPIU), under its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Swiss Newater India Pvt. Ltd., conducted a hands-on training programme for its housekeeping staff on the production and use of green cleaning chemicals. The training focused on demonstrating how environmentally friendly cleaning solutions can be produced using the specialised machine provided by Swiss Newater India Pvt. Ltd. The green chemicals produced through this technology can be used for floor cleaning and other housekeeping applications across the DYPIU campus. The initiative aims to reduce dependence on conventional chemical cleaning products and promote the use of eco-friendly, sustainable alternatives. It also enhances the awareness and capacity of housekeeping staff to adopt greener cleaning practices in their day-to-day operations. This initiative reflects DYPIU’s continued efforts to integrate sustainability into campus operations and create a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally responsible campus. The collaboration with Swiss Newater India Pvt. Ltd. further strengthens the University’s commitment to practical sustainability initiatives and responsible resource management.
