The School of Design, D Y Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi successfully organized a 4-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) – "Design Thinking for Future Design 5.0" from 23rd to 26th June 2026 at the Seminar Hall, 2nd Floor, J Block, DYPIU. The sessions were conducted by Ms. Pratima Varanasi, Ms. Sri Gayathri Vedula, and Mr. Tushar Kshirsagar, Assistant Professors from the School of Design, DYPIU. The FDP focused on introducing faculty members to the principles and practical applications of Design Thinking for solving real-world challenges through a human-centered approach. Participants explored various stages of the design thinking process, including empathy, problem definition, ideation, prototyping, and testing, through interactive discussions, collaborative activities, and hands-on exercises. The programme encouraged innovation, creative problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the integration of design thinking methodologies into teaching, research, and academic practices.
