Program Description

The School of Pharmacy offers a two years full time Diploma programme in Pharmacy (D.Pharma). It is a short term career-oriented program in the medical field designed to educate candidates with the basic concepts of Pharmaceutical Sciences.The program prepares students’ with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for beginning a career in retail pharmacies as well as pharmaceutical companies. The course provides an overview of the theory and practices involved in Pharmaceutical Sciences such as Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Pharmacognosy, applications of Chemistry in the pharmaceutical industry, Community Pharmacy, Drug Store, Business Management and Health Education. Pharmaceutical Industry is one of the rapidly growing sectors around the world. India ranks 3rd worldwide by volume of production of drugs and 4th in terms of generic drug production.
