Intelligent Transport System and Logistics with integrated MBA

This track course has been designed to prepare engineering graduates who can

  • Understand the basics of Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technologies and industry applications of the field
  • understanding of highway planning, design, problems in designing road geometrics, and various methods of collecting traffic data.
  • learn the importance of road safety and further explore how AI will help to solve real-world traffic problems
  • Explored understanding of the Concepts of Supply Chain Management, Lean Logistics, Customer Accommodation, Inventory Management, Role of Transportation, Warehousing, Packaging, and Materials Handling
  • Learn about Efficient and effective fleet management and Ai case study to maximize the supply and chain
  • understand computer-supported cooperative work, multimodal and "next generation" interfaces, speech, and natural language interfaces, and augmented reality and virtuality
  • Design the software to solve transport problems
  • Explored understanding of the various technologies and systems used to implement advanced driver assistance systems.

Overview:

  • An intelligent transportation system (ITS) aims to provide innovative services relating to different modes of transport and traffic management and enable users to be better informed and make safer, more coordinated, and smarter use of transport networks
  • Logistics is the management of the flow of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption in order to meet the requirements of customers or corporations
  • With the proliferation of the Internet and Smartphones, e-commerce is growing by double or even triple digits annually, leading to the exponential growth of opportunities in these fields.
  • E-commerce Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Uber, and Ola are witnessing huge growth by making use of Intelligent Transport Systems and Logistics
  • There is also a growing trend of driverless vehicles led by companies like Waymo and Tesla that is growing exponentially

Opportunities:

  • Vehicle manufacturing companies and Venture Capitals have committed north of $100 B, for the development of Intelligent Transport Systems like driverless vehicles, smart warehouses, and intelligent algorithms to optimize transportation systems
  • The Intelligent Transport Systems and Logistics field is growing at a rapid pace, promising attractive salaries
  • You will have a wide range of demanding job prospects given your engineering background and knowledge of transportation systems.
  • Several members of our alumni work as consultants or as road or rail engineers for local governments
  • A production business may hire you to handle its complete logistics network as a logistics manager
  • Another choice is to work for a technology firm like Ericsson, which creates traffic and transportation systems, and where your knowledge will be very helpful. Also, you'll be well-equipped for a research career.
