SoCSEA Organized Five-Day FDP on “MATLAB for Computer Vision
The School of Computer Science Engineering and Applications (SoCSEA), D Y Patil International University, Akurdi, Pune, in collaboration with DesignTech and MathWorks, successfully organized a Five-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “MATLAB for Computer Vision” from 25th May to 29th May 2026.
The FDP focused on enhancing faculty knowledge and practical skills in MATLAB, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Image Processing applications. The sessions provided hands-on exposure to MATLAB tools for image/video processing, data analysis, model development, and solving real-world engineering problems.
The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members and encouraged the integration of emerging technologies into teaching, research, and innovative project development.
The FDP contributed towards SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The initiative successfully promoted interdisciplinary learning, skill enhancement, and research-oriented practices among participants.
