✨ Semiconductor Technology Leadership Summit 2026 – Event Highlights ✨ The Department of Semiconductor Engineering at D Y Patil International University successfully conducted the Semiconductor Technology Leadership Summit 2026 on 22nd April 2026 at Shantai Auditorium, Pune. The event was graced by eminent dignitaries and industry experts, with Mr. Paul Ilanghovan, Head of Operations – Production, Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd., as the Chief Guest. The summit was further enriched by an esteemed panel comprising Dr. Basant Saini (Senior Engineer, R&D, Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Saif Alam (Program Manager, Kaynes Semicon Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Ashwini Aggarwal (Chair, Semiconductor Skill Committee, Electronics Sector Skill Council of India), Dr. Arvind Shaligram (CEO, SPPU Research Park Foundation, Pune), Mr. Ranjit Yewale (Director, Silicon Techhills Research Foundation), Dr. Vivek Kumar (Assistant Professor, NIT Uttarakhand, VLSI & Microelectronics), Mr. Kedar Patankar (Semiconductor Executive, VP & Head of VLSI Division, SI-GPT), and Mr. Bhairav Shah (Founder, Parshwanath Robotics, Pune), whose collective expertise added significant value to the discussions. The program commenced with a welcome and Silicon Forge lab visit. The Silicon Forge Laboratory is a purpose-built, advanced academic facility established to deliver hands-on experiential learning in semiconductor fabrication technologies. The laboratory is designed to simulate real-world semiconductor manufacturing environments, enabling students to translate classroom concepts into practical understanding The summit featured an insightful panel discussion on “The Role of Semiconductors in Next-Gen”, where experts shared perspectives on emerging technologies and future industry directions. It also served as a valuable platform for fostering industry–academia interaction, encouraging collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strengthening partnerships for innovation in the semiconductor domain. The event was further graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Manish Bhalla, Vice Chancellor , Prof. A. V. Patil , Dean – Faculty of Engineering & Director SEMR , Prof. Madhavi Deshpande, Dean of Faculty of Non-Engineering, and Prof. Beeran Moidin, Registrar of D Y Patil International University, whose encouragement and leadership added great value to the occasion.
