The School of Engineering, Management and Research (SEMR), DY Patil International University organized a Tree Plantation Drive on 25th March 2026 with the objective of promoting environmental sustainability and creating awareness among students about the importance of green initiatives. The event witnessed active participation from students and faculty members of the Mechanical Engineering Department. During the drive, various saplings were planted across the campus, contributing to improving the green cover and enhancing biodiversity. Faculty members guided students on the importance of tree plantation, proper planting techniques, and long-term care for sustainable growth. This initiative was aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly focusing on climate action and life on land. The activity emphasized the role of young engineers in building an eco-friendly future and encouraged students to take responsibility for environmental conservation.
