The Government of India, under the New Education Policy, 2020 has launched the Academic Bank of Credits scheme. Accordingly, the University Grants Commission, with the concurrence of the Ministry of Education has notified “The University Grants Commission (Establishment and Operation of Academic Bank of Credits in Higher Education) regulations, 2021 in the Gazette of India on 28th July 2021.
The ABC ID acts as a unique identifier that links your academic achievements across institutions and over the years, ensuring a comprehensive and easily accessible academic profile. This is not just a step towards digital empowerment but also towards creating a more interconnected and flexible educational ecosystem in India.

Therefore, you are requested to register yourself and update the data of your university on NAD/ABC portal within 2 days Also update the details of your registered ABC ID in the form attached.
This is also applicable to the pass-out Batches of 2021 and 2022.
The FIRST and foremost important STEP in registration is through linking your Cell phone number to your Aadhaar Card urgently.
You won't be able to register on the portal without the Aadhar Linked phone number and so won't be able to access your documents such as Marksheets, Degree Certificate, etc on ABC Portal and Digilocker in the future. Henceforth the Marksheets would be available only with the ABC ID
