Biochemical Engineering is a lucrative branch of engineering that combines the application of engineering with chemistry and biology. It is an interdisciplinary course which focuses on study, design and construction of unit processes that involve biological organisms or molecules. By applying and integrating the modern technology into biological processes, materials, and systems, a biochemical engineer produces a wide range of end products (like vaccines, proteins, enzymes, medicines, pharmaceutical products, etc) from raw materials and develops the processes for achieving them.
