Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

This track course has been designed to prepare engineering graduates who can

  • Understand the concept of control theory in designing Robotic vision systems
  • Design ROBOTS to solve real industry problems
  • Hands-on experience to understand the use of sensors and actuators in building intelligent robots
  • Explored advanced high-performance computing tools to solve complex problems
  • Explored to know how to interface and interact between Robots and Humans.
  • Understanding of optimization problems of robot motion
  • Collaborate with industry and institute academia who have excelled in the robotics domain

Overview:

  • Robotics and AI deal with building "Smart Robots" that can interact with its environment using unsupervised learning, skill acquisition, active learning, exploration, and reinforcement.
  • Smart Robots have applications in several fields including manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation
  • Companies like Amazon and Flipkart use Smart Robots to manage their warehouses cutting down costs and increasing efficiency
  • Driverless cars are another example of Smart Robotics that is taking the world by storm

Opportunities:

  • Industry partners, such as Amazon, Google, and Apple, seek to hire graduates with the skills needed for these jobs, leading to a high demand for graduates with robotics expertise. The Bureau of Labour Statistics predicts job growth rates of four percent for the field of robotics over the next decade. The figure is expected to increase as society becomes increasingly reliant on robotics technology. This track will prepare students for careers in robotics and related fields by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in this rapidly growing industry
  • The number of startups and investments by Venture Capitalists in the Robotics and AI space is growing rapidly, promising higher salaries and better opportunities in the future

The salary package differs for every job profile.
