Program Overview
OVERVIEW:
MCA (Master of Computer Applications) course is a 2-year postgraduate degree course that imparts theory and practical knowledge on the various aspects of computer applications as per the demands of industry needs. This course will be a job oriented course.
Our MCA Program is track based, where we provide specialization in two tracks:
- Artificial Intelligence and Data science
- Cyber Security
After this program, the students will have the right skills, knowledge and qualifications for a successful career in the Information Technology Industry as a developer, researcher and academician.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
The objective of MCA (Masters of Computer Application) program is to give a comprehensive training to postgraduate students to empower them with the knowledge of Artificial Intelligence/Cyber Security (as per the selected specialization) in phase with rapidly changing technology and supply the demands of the industry needs with required skill sets. Those who pursue the Master’s programs gain expert level knowledge in their field.
MCA (Masters of Computer Application) provides; both conventional and innovative approaches to resolve the real world societal problems with the help of Artificial Intelligence and Data science and Cyber Security.
In the initial three semesters; we intend to explore them with a deeper understanding of recent trend courses along with hands-on practice.
UNIQUE FEATURES:
- Learning by doing : The students acquire knowledge through participation in the laboratories for individual bench-work, classroom exercises, group discussion, project based learning, critical reading and analysis of real world problems using recent trends and technologies.
- Two tracks or specializations: We offer two tracks as a specializations (AI-DS and Cyber Security) for the MCA program. Both tracks are industry driven job oriented courses and are highly in demand.
- Project based learning: Students have to identify societal problems, they have to design and develop computer based application solutions. This will help students to demonstrate practical hands-on knowledge.
- Industrial Internship: Students have to undergo a summer industrial internship after the first year, where they need to showcase and update their practical skill sets to know more happening in the IT sector. This internship needs to be carried out at industry / Govt R&D lab’s. DYPIU will provide an assistantship to carry out the summer internship for eligible students.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
This program consists of three semesters of course work followed by research projects and dissertations/Industrial training in the final semester.
Duration: 2 Years
PROGRAM OUTCOME:
After this program a number of opportunities would open for these students as they will be ready for a variety of jobs in the Software Industry like BIG data analytics, Security Specialists, Software Developer etc.
Job opportunities after MCA
After MCA, candidates may secure a reputed job in the top tier one IT industry as developer, analyst and specialist. Some of the top companies recruiting MCA graduates are Google, facebook, AMAZON, Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Microsoft, Cognizant, etc. Aspirants can also apply for jobs in the Public sector as well. Also they will have ample of opportunities in the domain of research and academics.

OVERVIEW:
M.Sc Medical Biotechnology is a job oriented program. The immense importance of Medical Biotechnology has already been witnessed by all of us during the Covid pandemic.
Our M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology) program degree course aims to render advanced skills in molecular medicine and recent advances in Biotechnology. The focus is on diagnostics, therapeutics and biomedical research with focus on the cutting-edge technology.
After this program, the students will have the right skills, knowledge and qualifications for a successful career in academia, allied medical field, research and industry.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
The objective of M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology) program is to give a comprehensive training to postgraduate students to empower them with the knowledge of allied biomedical sciences to create a work force for advanced research and diagnostics in a medical environment. It is an opportunity for students after B.Sc. in any basic life sciences who want to opt for a career in an allied medical field. Those who pursue the Master’s programs gain expert level knowledge in their field.
M.Sc (Medical Biotechnology) provides; both conventional and innovative approaches to resolve the problems associated with clinical, diagnostic and advanced therapeutics. Here, we offer a blend of different science-oriented subjects, namely nano-biotechnology, clinical biochemistry, biomedical devices, medical microbiology, bioinformatics, omics in biology, cell and tissue engineering, molecular medicine, etc., to understand the advancements in the field of medicine and cater to the field of personalized medicine. In this program, students will understand deeply how a disease affects the human body at the cellular level and the kind of opportunities it presents to devise new strategies. In the initial three semesters; we intend to teach them the theory courses along with the laboratory.

- Experiential learning - The students acquire knowledge through participation in the laboratories for individual bench-work, classroom exercises; and through critical reading and analysis of the current scientific literature.
- Biocomputing - Courses focusing on Bioinformatics, Bio-modeling and Omics in Biology with emphasis on Genomics, Proteomics and Microbiomics will give students exposure in the evolving technologies and development of the field.
- Flexibility to choose between industrial or research opportunities - The program provides one and a half semester for projects where students have the flexibility to choose between industrial training, lab-research or dissertation. Students can opt for a specific field to get a finer understanding of the field and emerge as specialists in the domain of their choice.
INTEGRATED Ph.D PROGRAM:
For more flexibility to students we offer integrated Ph.D program- the students will complete the M.Sc. program requirements and then start their PhD program. Duration: 5 to 7 years
PROGRAM OUTCOMES:
After this program a number of opportunities would open for these students as they will be ready for a variety of jobs in biomedical instrumentation/devices/advanced diagnostics/imaging specialist etc. just to name a few.
A Master in Medical Biotechnology is expected to have an understanding about the use of multidisciplinary approaches to solve a complex problem in the biomedical field. Mandatory teaching and training activities in this program therefore aim to provide students with integrated knowledge in the basic yet advanced modern and upcoming biomedical disciplines. Ultimately; the graduates will be able to develop methods with biotechnological advances and improve conventional technologies or come up with a new strategy. Thus this course offers a lot of scope for a career in Medical Biotechnology; also as a policy maker, a consultant, a researcher, an industry professional or as an entrepreneur.
