April 25 is special to me. I moved to Delhi to head India's Technology Think Tank, TIFAC on April 25, 2013. After completing my 5 years tenure in Delhi, I moved to Pune and joined D. Y. Patil International University(DYPIU), Akurdi on April 25, 2018, as founder Vice-Chancellor.

“April 25 is special to me. I moved to Delhi to head India's Technology Think Tank, TIFAC on April 25, 2013. After completing my 5 years tenure in Delhi, I moved to Pune and joined D. Y. Patil International University(DYPIU), Akurdi on April 25, 2018, as founder Vice-Chancellor.
In 4 years, we have established DYPIU to be a hub of new ideas. Our multitrack B.Tech. (Comp Science and Engineering) the program launched in 2019 became a trendsetter for the whole country and demand among the students went through the roof in just 3 years of launch. Multitrack system became our hallmark of various programs e.g. B.Tech. (Bioengineering), MBA (Digital Business), B.Des. etc.
Around 2020-21, we got involved with major research projects of global impact e.g. Nuclear Fusion Project "Sanlayan", Chronic Health Project "Sushrusha".
Our Digital Fab Lab has spread all across the country too with the AICTE IDEA Lab scheme, whose NSC is chaired by me. Our international quality infrastructure became ready in 2020-21 too and has become a hallmark for quality educational infrastructure. 2022 has shown signs of major industry partnerships e.g. Tata Motors and other industries with a global presence.
