  • Artificial Intelligence or Machine learning (AI/ML) is a broad set of software capabilities that make software smarter
  • AI/ML fundamentally changes how businesses operate across all sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, IT, and transportation
  • Artificial Intelligence(AI), deals with building smart machines that are capable of performing complex tasks
  • It combines Data Science with real-life data to leverage machines and computers to imitate the decision-making and problem-solving capabilities that the human mind has.

Course Curriculum:

  • AI/ML program requires an understanding of basic Mathematical concepts and Python programming, which are taught in the first and second academic years
  • AI/ML program consists of a total of four courses taught in the third and fourth years, along with one main project
  • The first course, "Foundations of Machine Learning", introduces the machine learning way of solving problems (as opposed to the programmatic way) and gives an introduction to various Machine Learning (ML) algorithms
  • The second course, "Data Science" introduces the practice of AI/ML as done in the industry, to prepare students for real-world AI/ML projects. This is followed by a summer internship in Machine Learning
  • The third course "Deep Neural Networks" teaches students the fundamentals of modern-age tools
  • The fourth course, "AI Processors & Architectures", introduces students to concepts of advanced AI/ML and exposes them to cutting-edge research in the field of AI/ML
  • All Advance courses will be taught in successive semesters
